The popular Kitsilano kids store Hip Baby is now owned and managed by the creators of FIG Organic Kids Fashion and will reveal its fresh new look to the public on March 7th!
(Vancouver, BC) – For over ten years Hip Baby has been a destination kids store providing Vancouver families, and tourists alike, with a variety of clothing, diapers and accessories. Meanwhile, in another part of town, Jen MacCormack and Michael Ziff have been busy building their FIG brand of Organic Kids Fashion into a recognizable name and selling it to retailers around North America and as far as Moscow and Sydney.
When it came to their attention that Hip Baby was available for purchase, Jen and Michael immediately jumped on the opportunity to shift gears in their business model and combine their successful wholesale operation with an already established retail operation. The plan was to revitalize the location and breathe new life into the Hip Baby brand.
The Hip Baby store has now undergone an extensive renovation and quietly opened its doors to the neighbourhood in mid-February but now it’s time to let Vancouver know about this great new kids shop with the perfect mix of the practical, the functional, the sustainable and the stylish. On March 7th the new Hip Baby will welcome Vancouver to explore, discover and shop at this wonderful new kids store.
The new vision for Hip Baby is to provide our customers with friendly and well-informed service in a comfortable shopping environment with lots of room for strolling moms while stocking our shelves with the latest and safest in toys, bathtime and bedtime products, clothing, slings, carriers, and Vancouver’s finest selection in cloth diapers.
And as it was with FIG, there will be a focus on the sustainable and the eco-friendly. Hip Baby will also actively participate in the community by supporting local and global initiatives and by offering workshops to local parents and families.
