Hathay Bunano

Cuddly and cool, Pebble makes the cutest fair trade soft toys for babies and toddlers! Their octopus and hippo rattles are a hit at Hip Baby.

All Pebble products are made by Hathay Bunano. Hathay Bunano, meaning hand made or hand knitted in Bangla, is a non-profit fair trade organization in Bangladesh. It's mission is to create fairly paid, good quality, flexible and local employment for rural women who are poor and often disadvantaged. Helping women out of poverty and putting smiles on faces worldwide!

All Pebble toys are 100% cotton with 100% polyester fill. They are all machine washable at 40 degrees and can be tumble dried on a low setting.

New From Petit Collage!

We love all of the books by Petit Collage so it only made sense that Hip Baby carry the rest of this gorgeous line created by Lorena Siminovich. Her signature graphics are bright and colourful and make the perfect nursery decor. ABC cards, mobiles and art printed on wood veneer can be mix and matched in your child's room to create a playful environment.

Chia Seed Chocolate Pudding

I found this simple chia recipe on the Oh My Veggies blog and it quickly became a family favourite! You can leave out the cayenne for kids that don't like "too spicy".

Ingredients
1/3 c. chia seeds
1 c. unsweetened almond (or other non-dairy) milk
2 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tbsp. maple syrup (I used Grade B)
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
pinch of cayenne (optional)

Quilts Made Modern

Auggie is a bedding line created by Toronto sister team Genevieve and Cristina. They wanted to design a collection with a fresh take on traditional bedding and we think they did exactly that. Genevieve's whimsical illustrations of ponies, robots, nesting dolls and more adorn their fabrics and are easily paired up with many hues of bedding. All of their products are made with 200 percale colourfast cotton for softness and durability, and they are all machine washable!

Wee Wheels

If your toddler can walk, they can learn to ride a balance bike! Designed to be steady, stable, and safe, the Strider ST-4 bike is perfect for children starting at just 18 months old. It is extremely light, just under 7lbs, and the seat starts at only 11 inches off the ground. The quick clamps on both the handlebars and seat post make it easy to adjust from day to day. Once your child has mastered their balance you can move them to a pedal bike…but they might just want to keep riding this one because it's so much fun!

DIY: Mother's Day Scrub

This is an easy gift that your kids can make for Mother's Day (with some assistance of course). Simply mix the following ingredients together in a bowl and then pack the scrub into a cute mason jar. Add a little ribbon and a note, and that's it!

- 1/2 cup sea salt

- 1/3 cup raw sugar

- 1/4 cup oil ( coconut, almond or olive)

- Some fresh orange zest or 30 drops of essential oils (orange and/or lavender)
