Celebrate Earth Day!

A group of youth from Windermere Secondary School called Y4CJN (Youth 4 Climate Justice Now) are holding the first youth-led Earth Day Vancouver Celebration on Friday April 22, 2011 (Good Friday). And the Y4CJN is in great company since this event is backed by the City of Vancouver, The Wilderness Committee, other schools in the VSB, The Suzuki Foundation and many others.

FIRST - Meet at 11am by the Commercial-Broadway Skytrain on North Grandview to join the colourful parade to celebrate our planet and meet inspiring youth who will one day be the leaders in climate justice.

SECOND - Party with fellow earth-lovers at the Brittania Oval (just down the hill from the Brittania Community Centre) from 11:30am to 3pm. With live music and more.

Let's celebrate and help make this a history making event! Our youth have inherited our world and feel the need to make this earth a healthier and better place to live, and with good reason! Show your support for our youth and their future, after all, it's their world now.

email: youth4climate@gmail.com if you have any questions or would like ideas on how to get involved.
