Connect the Plots!
"On the full moon of August 1st, EYA (Environmental Youth Alliance) will join Stracthcona Community Gardens and the Theatre on Earth Collective in re-imagining Lughnasadh, an ancient harvest festival, with Connect the Plots, a fantastical revelling in the bounty that surrounds us."
Every year the Strathcona Community Garden has an open house, it's a wonderful opportunity to visit this amazing urban oasis in the heart of our city. And now, with 'Connect the Plots', the gardens once again opens its gates for a free, all-ages village fair. There will be theatrical roving characters, pizza from Vancouver grown wheat (Lawns to Loaves), and much more. There will even be a special appearance by a Celtic sun god! Join the feast and bring picnic supplies like plates, cups, napkins and blanket. And celebrate all that is good about our city, our food and our great mother Earth.
Where: Strathcona Community Gardens, Hawks Avenue and Prior Street
When: Tonight, August 1st - 6:30-8:30pm
