There has been a lot of confusion around the new HST tax, and whether it's a good tax or a bad tax remains to be seen but there's one thing for certain, our present government has done an incredibly poor job at informing the public as to what is actually affected. So we thought we'd set the record straight and let our customers know what has changed. The good news is: very little. The only products in our stores for which you will pay full HST (previously PST exempt) are kids blankets and bedding. All products previously PST exempt like cloth diapers, (including liners and doublers), books, shoes and clothing remain PST exempt (only GST will be charged).
So when it comes to shopping for your children, thankfully, your pocketbook is safe.
