When we began making certified organic clothing more than eight years ago, we were committed to creating a business that reflected not only our world view but the love for our planet, our home. We've carried over those sensibilities, along with everything we've learned since, into our newest venture at Hip Baby. We research our products for safety and sustainability; we seek out as much local product as possible; last year we attended the Climate Smart program in order to lessen our GHG (green house gas) emissions (and happy to say that we use almost half the electricity of other retail operations our size!). And now we've taken it once step further by getting our power from Bullfrog Power. Hip Baby is now powered with 100% green electricity. Bullfrog will inject renewable electricity onto the BC grid to match the amount we use. Bullfrog's electricity comes exclusively from the Bear Mountain Wind Park, certified as low impact by Environment Canada.Hip Baby is doing its best to bring you, our customer, low impact products so we can leave our children as beautiful a home as possible.
